Happy Halloween! This year I went as Puss-N-Boots for a ‘Twisted Fairy Tales’ Halloween event Saturday night. The event was held by Melbourne club organizers Coco Poco Loco, who always do costume themes, no matter what time of year. I went with my housemate, Scarlett, who dressed as a White Witch.
We had fun taking photos at home, then took quite a lot of friends and well-dressed strangers at the club.
My friend Sash, dressed as a priest and trying to get people to give him confessions.
An awesome female version Beetlejuice costume!
I have no idea who this dude was, but a friend wanted to take a photo of us!
These two garden gnomes were the cutest!
Scarlett as a spooky White Witch.
Halloween has slowly gotten bigger and bigger in Australia over the years I’ve lived here. When I first moved to Melbourne from Atlanta 17 years ago, there was almost no sign of Halloween, no costume parties, and very little being sold commercially. Now it’s everywhere. Maybe one day we will even have the super scary adult haunted houses like we do in Atlanta! I’ve still yet to have trick-or-treaters come to my door, though, which is funny because I always think of Halloween as mainly a kid’s event!
2019 UPDATE: I stopped posting my outfits on this blog when I became obsessed with digital marketing and decided to start teaching it here, but I am still showing off my outfits on my personal Instagram account: @Christine_of_Hexotica ! 🙂
